Resistant Hypertension: Incidence, Prevalence and Prognosis
Since publication of the of the American Heart Association Scientific Statement on the Evaluation and Treatment of Resistant Hypertension in 2008, there has been growing clinical and research interest in the epidemiology, pathophysiology and therapeutic management of resistant hypertension.1 Highlighted, however, by the authors of that AHA Scientific Statement were important deficiencies in our knowledge and understanding of resistant hypertension.
