New Method to Delineate Myocardial Damage at Surgery
A technique is described for obtaining unipolar and bipolar ventricular electrograms at surgery.
The alterations in the form of the electrogram in various pathologic states are consistent, reliable, and reproducible.
The method has advantages over dye technique for delineating areas of damaged myocardium and has been used in a clinical series of 12 patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
