We appreciate Dr Koh for his interest and comments on our article.1 It is important to develop population-specific risk prediction tools for primary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). For example, there were different epidemic patterns on components of ASCVD such as coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke between China and the United States.
