In the article by Neumar et al, “Part 8: Adult Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support: 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care,” which published online October 18, 2010, and appeared in the November 2, 2010, issue of the journal (Circulation. 2010;122[suppl 3]:S729-S767), a correction was needed.
On page S752, in the left column, the second paragraph in the section “Waveform and Energy,” the last sentence read, “Cardioversion with monophasic waveforms should begin at 200 J and increase in stepwise fashion if not successful (Class IIa, LOE B).372–374” It has been changed to read, “Cardioversion of atrial fibrillation with monophasic waveforms should begin at 200 J and increase in stepwise fashion if not successful (Class IIa, LOE B).372–374” The authors regret the error.
This correction has been made to the current online version of the article, which is available at http://circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/122/18_suppl_3/S729.
