Thromboembolism in Real-Time Two-Dimensional Echocardiography
This 77-year-old man is known to have long standing atrial fibrillation and a previous myocardial infarction. He was on warfarin therapy and was having signs of embolization. The following episode was captured in real time during his echocardiographic study (Figure, Movie). The thrombus ultimately embolized to the femoral arteries.
