In the article “Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Arterial Insufficiency of the Lower Extremities: A Critical Review,” by Weitz et al that appeared in a previous issue of the journal (Circulation. 1996;94:3026–3049), a sentence was changed. In the section “Radiological Interventional Procedures” under the heading “Intra-arterial Thrombolysis” and the subheading “Techniques for Intra-arterial Thrombolysis,” the first sentence of the second paragraph (the first sentence of the first full paragraph on p 3037) should read as follows:
Once the access site is identified, a small polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-coated guidewire is inserted after direct puncture and is manipulated into the thrombus.
