For constant blood flow, percentage extraction is proportional to 1/endothelin concentration. When a power-law curve is applied to the data presented, the best-fit equation spontaneously returns a power of −1.02, which directly supports the null hypothesis (Figure⇓). Furthermore, the null hypothesis, of constant absolute extraction rate, shows a significant fit (R2=0.67) and therefore cannot be rejected.
