In the article by Rosenqvist et al that appeared in a previous issue of the journal (Circulation. 1998;98:663–670), Figure 1, Table 2, and the first paragraph under "Deaths" in the Results section contained errors. The corrected information appears here.

Deaths

Twenty patients died during the study period; 7 died perioperatively (1 pulmonary embolism, 2 sepsis, and 4 cardiac failure). All deaths except 2 were witnessed in the hospital. Two deaths were classified as "unknown and occurring suddenly" because they were unwitnessed, insufficient information was available, and they occurred outside the hospital.
