Correction

In the article, "Relation Between Serum Phosphate Level and Cardiovascular Event Rate in People With Coronary Disease" by Tonelli et al, which appeared in the October 25, 2005, issue (Circulation. 2005;112:2627–2633), there was a minor error in the first paragraph of the Results section (p 2628). Currently, there is a discrepancy between Table 1 and the text; the table is correct. The text currently reads:

"Serum phosphate ranged from 1.6 to 9.3 mg/dL (median, 3.3; interquartile range, 3.0 to 3.6; mean, 3.3±0.5 mg/dL), and 5.8% had serum phosphate levels outside the normal range of 2.5 to 4.5 mg/dL (hyperphosphatemia in 24 of 4127, hypophosphatemia in 215 of 4127)."

The text should read:

"Serum phosphate ranged from 1.6 to 9.3 mg/dL (median, 3.3; interquartile range, 3.0 to 3.6; mean, 3.3±0.5 mg/dL), and 3.8% had serum phosphate levels outside the normal range of 2.5 to 4.5 mg/dL (hyperphosphatemia in 24 of 4127, hypophosphatemia in 131 of 4127)."

The authors regret this error.
