Correction
In the article, "Ambient Air Pollution Is Associated With Increased
Risk of Hospital Cardiac Readmissions of Myocardial Infarction
Survivors in Five European Cities," by von Klot et al, which
appeared in the November 15, 2005, issue (
Circulation. 2005;112:30733079),
the authors have found an error in
Table 2. The description
of ozone was for October through March, instead of April through
September as intended. This error occurred only in the descriptive
statistics, not in any further analyses. A corrected version
of
Table 2 follows.
In addition, 2 sentences describing the ozone values in the Results section do not hold:
- On page 3075, in the second-to-last paragraph, the last sentence, "Ozone in the warm months had a similar range in all 5 cities," should be replaced by "Ozone concentration in the warm months was higher in Rome compared with the other cities."
- On page 3075, in the last paragraph, the last sentence, "Ozone concentrations in the summer were negatively correlated with all other pollutants," should be replaced by "Ozone concentrations in the summer were mostly weakly correlated with the other pollutants."
Further results or discussion section are not affected. The authors regret these errors.
