Correction

In the article, "Blockade of Interleukin-12 Function by Protein Vaccination Attenuates Atherosclerosis," by Hauer et al, which appeared in the August 16, 2005, issue of the journal (Circulation. 2005;112:1054-1062), the authors would like to note the following correction:

The factors on the significant increase in collagen and -actin expression within the atherosclerotic plaque after IL-12 vaccination do not always correspond with the correct values for these factors as presented in Figure 5. In the text of the paper, the factors should have been, "Collagen content increased 2.8-fold after vaccination against IL-12 compared with controls: 0.119±.075 versus 0.335±0.021, P<0.01. -Actin content increased 4.2-fold after vaccination against IL-12 compared with controls: 0.018±0.009 versus 0.079±0.018, P<0.01."
