Correction

In the article, "Effects of Candesartan on the Development of a New Diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus in Patients With Heart Failure," by Yusuf et al, which appeared in the July 5, 2005, issue of the journal (Circulation. 2005;112:48-53), the authors would like to note the following errors:

1. In the Results on page 50, column 2, the last sentence should read, "Examining the results on the development of DM in various subgroups also provided no evidence of statistical heterogeneity across the 3 component trials (Figures 3 and 4)," instead of, "Examining the results on the composite of death or development of DM in various subgroups also provided no evidence of statistical heterogeneity across the 3 component trials (Figures 3 and 4)."
   
2. In the Discussion on page 52, column 1, paragraph 3, line 13, should read, "patients with impaired glucose tolerance and atherosclerosis" instead of "patients with impaired glucose intolerance and atherosclerosis."
