Progress for Circulation
James T. Willerson, MD1
1 Editor of Circulation, for the Editors
For the Editors of
Circulation, I wish to describe the progress of
Circulation in the last decade for its readership.
Therefore, I have provided figures below that summarize the growth in
numbers of manuscripts submitted to Circulation in the past
10 years, the percentage of manuscripts accepted for publication, the
time required for initial review and communication of first decision
for regular length manuscripts and for Brief Rapid Communications, and
the countries of origin for manuscripts that have been submitted. The
Editors hope that the readership of Circulation will find
this information useful and the data worthy of their continued support.
We are committed to shortening the review times further, and we shall.
We are equally committed to the development of innovative methods for
the very rapid communication of the most important manuscripts.
