Correction
In the scientific statement by Gidding et al, “Implementing American Heart Association Pediatric and Adult Nutrition Guidelines: A Scientific Statement From the American Heart Association Nutrition Committee of the Council on Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism, Council on Cardiovascular Disease in the Young, Council on Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, Council on Cardiovascular Nursing, Council on Epidemiology and Prevention, and Council for High Blood Pressure Research,” which appeared in the March 3, 2009, issue (Circulation. 2009;119:1161–1175), a correction was needed.
In Table 12 on page 1170, under the heading “In the community,” the first sentence read “Seek access to fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and locally grown or organic foods through local farmers’ markets. . . .” It has been changed to read: “Seek access to fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and locally grown foods through local farmers’ markets. . . .”
