In NRMI, initial diagnosis is collected as one of the following: MI, rule-out MI, unstable angina, or other. Cardiac diagnosis (Dx) represents patients who were diagnosed with one of the first 3 cardiac options as opposed to "other." In the CRUSADE Initiative, CHF on presentation is defined as signs of CHF (jugular venous distention, rales, S3, or pulmonary edema on initial chest radiograph) documented by a physician in the initial history and physical examination.
