Odds ratio and 95% CI for increase in CAC category for a 5-ng/mL increase in plasma resistin levels and a 1-mg/dL increase in CRP level in ordinal regression models adjusted for age, sex, smoking, exercise, alcohol intake, race, LDL cholesterol, and medication use (aspirin, statin, ß-blocker, and hormone replacement therapy in women).
*The likelihood ratio test was used to test for interaction of resistin with metabolic syndrome subgroups in the association with CAC.
